Neuhauser's ongoing exploration of photgraphic realism, the use of limited color and an interest in the development of the urban landscape form the basis of her work. Incorporating an appreciation of the built environment as well as a sense of cultural irony, she captures everyday contrast found between the purely utilitarian cityscape and the wit and exuberance of American roadside advertising. Neuhauser celebrates the form, tension and composition beauty found within the often overlooked urban environment of our recent past.
